Dear Cryptoparty Team (London),

My name is Emma and I am conducting my doctoral research looking at how data privacy is now understood and valued. I am conducting this research at the Open University, Department of Psychology and I am looking at how corporations and the Government talk about data privacy and also speaking to laypeople in focus groups about privacy.

However, I am contacting you as it would be of great benefit to my research if I can interview on of you as a part of my ‘specialist interviews’ where I am looking at how experts talk about data privacy. I believe that if I can speak with specialists who are at the cusp of what is happening in the world of technology and privacy, such as yourseves, then it is going to enable me to understand in greater depth the ways in which our understanding of privacy has changed.

I follow Cryptoparty London on twitter and I think the work you are doing is invaluable. I would really appreciate it if someone on your team could find time to help with this research as it means a great deal to me. I believe that data privacy is one of the most important issues of our time and I am hoping through my research to shed some light on how our notions of privacy have altered and the potential ramifications this has for us all.

The interview can be conducted at a time that is the most convenient for you and should take no more than an hour. If you would like more information about the project before deciding, please let me know and I will be happy to send it on to you.

Best Regards

Emma Brice

if twitter is their medium, then it might be the best place to ask.
Otherwise pls ask via the global-ML for contact to London, pretty
confident that would work.

All the best!
