This mail wasn't on the list. But anyways: I fear no discussion about ethics,
implications of publicity stunts or whatsoever.

This was an advertising stunt for the cost of the integrity of a community.
As you said yourself you didn't get the problem, so you shouldn't mind the
responses to come. And you even got excited in ways that's somewhat weird
for me: "Die erste Pressemitteilung, in der ich erwähnt werde" (as seen
on G+). As you said yourself: It was a press release, not press. That you
didn't even thought about mentioning it on this list while it was discussed
looks misguided to me (or overlooked I something?).

There is a big difference if someone's show support by lending an activist voice
to support the "security industry" in public (in fact secret services, police and
snakeoil vendors) or having a discussion on a public mailing list. But hey, you
obviously don't see the fine lines anyways in this case, so it's very difficult
to argue.

I don't care what you publish about yourself, I only care that companies,
associations or political parties taking over communities like they do every
now and then. I'm very sensitive when it comes to a "door opening situation"
like it is now with TTT. If the community doesn't defend against it, the whole
grassroots movement in DE will have hard times to explain the public how to
distinguish between commercial roadshows and a community event.
